Help! I need advice!!

Hailey will be two April 14 She started potty training herself a couple months ago. She's gotten to where she'll go pee in the potty all day and evening, pees in the potty right before bedtime, wakes up dry most mornings and pees in the potty in the morning. She poops once a day and has only pooped in the potty twice...the other days she's just gone in her diaper. She wears Pampers Easy Ups (she calls them her panties) while she's with me and diapers at daycare. She still does have a little accident here and there where she'll start going in her diaper/Easy Up and then realize what she's doing and stop and finish on the potty. Is it time to take the next step towards regular panties? Should I use the Feel N Learn Easy Ups that supposedly have a special liner that makes them feel as soon as they're wet? Should I just start using those thick cotton panties or just regular panties during the day and the Easy Ups only at night?? This whole potty training thing is new to me. So far it's been easy, but I'm clueless as to how and when to take the next step! I need help!! Any advice???

Hi! I found your blog through a friends' blog! We recently did the potty training thing and found most success with skipping Pull Ups all together. Only 2 accidents and he got the picture. He still does diapers at night which if OK with me for now! He's been daytime accident free for a long time now! So I'd just go for the panties! I got "white" ones and then some designed ones that at first I used as "rewards"! He is super reward driven! We also did sticker chart for not having accidents and going on his own without being reminded! It's a tricky business this potty training! I tried to have little to no expectations and it worked great! He potty trained quickly and easily (minus the night time which we haven't pushed yet!)...
Best wishes!

I have heard that pull ups are not good to do as they still don't get the real feeling/discomfort of being wet!

I did Pull Ups with Kelsie in public places but would take her to potty is she ask. It was several weeks to a month of doing this and not having any accidents at home (which when we were at home she would just wear panties)before we went in public without Pull Ups. I just went with the ones with the little flowers that went away when she got wet. She seemed to do really great. And as you know since you read my blog, she is potty trained now. It didn't take that long. Of course we still do diapers at night. :)
