MUST SELL!!

So here's the dress I bought for my friend's wedding that was cancelled. I really need to get this thing sold. I need to sell it for $100.00. I paid appx. $160.00 (plus taxes) for this dress and we don't have that kind of money to just blow. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I can accept payment by PayPal if anyone is interested.

Details:

The dress is a size 2. The color is Periwinkle (the color looks different in some of the pictures because of the close range in which I took the pictures--it's just because my camera's not perfect). The dress is strapless but it includes detachable spaghetti straps, also periwinkle in color. The tags are still attached and I've never even tried the dress on! It could be worn as a bridesmaid's dress, for prom, or any formal occassion.

Any questions feel free to ask! THANKS!

Weekend Recap

Ok so I thought I'd shift moods a bit and tell a little about the rest of my weekend.

It was tiring, but it was OH.SO.PRODUCTIVE! D didn't end up having to leave til yesterday morning and he was so great about helping me Saturday before he went to practice. We FINALLY got the crib taken down! I had to empty it of all the stuffed animals and clothes we'd been storing in it, peel off the dust-coated bedding (which I washed before I stored) and Hailey helped take her old crib apart. I thought that was a rather momentous occasion. I also went through her huge stack of blankets and packed away all the baby blankets. All that's left is her changing pads, sheets for her daybed and her big girl blankets! Since we took the crib down (which my father in law so nicely took to my mother's to store until we move) I could FINALLY get to Hailey's closet! I took down all the clothes hanging up from last season that are way too tiny for her now and washed them all before I put them in storage. I also finally got all her summer clothes together and washed all of that as well. It is so nice to finally be able to hang up clothes in her closet and actually get to them!! All her little dresses and skirts will stay nice and fluffy now that they aren't squashed in a dresser drawer. I dusted the window sills. I bought a new 3-drawer storage container for all my scrapbook supplies and got that organized. As soon as my friend completes the craft room in the basement of her house we're going to do some serious scrap booking sessions! I cleaned off the piles of bills from the kitchen table so we can use all 4 chairs now instead of just 3. I re-organized Hailey's closet and even got her old high chair to fit in there so it's not taking up space in the dining room anymore (and so I won't stub my dang toe on it any longer!!!). I also found a new shower curtain at Walmart for the bargain price of $3 on clearance!!! It was originally $16! It's a sheer shiny fabric one with gold thread embroidery. I LOVE it! I got that washed/dried and hung up. I bought new air fresheners for the bathrooms and laundry room. I cleaned off the bathroom counter and cleaned the toilet and washed the bathroom rugs. I completely dusted the entertainment unit in the living room (ok even the undersides of the shelves were coated in a thick layer of dust!!!) and Windexed the TV (Hailey loves to "clean" the TV with her antibacterial wipes and the dust sticks to the film like crazy, it was a mess!). I even cleaned the windows in the living room! Sunday I vacuumed and shampooed the whole house! It feels so incredibly good to have a more organized, clean house. It's still a long way from being done, but I got enough done this weekend to really feel like I accomplished something!

I even bought myself 2 new pairs of shoes at Payless yesterday afternoon. These my sister has had for months. I wasn't sure if I liked them when she first got them, but they've grown on me and are SO comfortable. I needed a pair of little slip on tennis shoes like these, and they'll go with everything...

These I really liked when I saw them. It kind of sucked because the 6.5 was too big and the 6 is a little small...I went ahead and got the 6. I'm sure they're stretch out the more I wear them.

Hailey's birthday is coming up in a week. Since D will be out of town we won't be having her party until he's done with school for the semester. I do want to have a little mini party that evening for her though. I took the day off work to spend with her. I'm going to get her a little cake and some balloons. I've been searching for the perfect present for her for a long time now and FINALLY found something I know she would absolutely love. And of course they don't have it in any of the stores around here and to have it shipped here in time would cost a fortune! I'm also irritated because when I first looked at it online it was eligible for free shipping to the store...and then 30 minutes later when I went back online to order it, it wasn't eligible for the free shipping to the store anymore. The only option is to have it shipped to your house!! What the heck is up with that??? Normal shipping is $10.97 and it still may not get here in time for her birthday. It's already $57, I can't pay half that to have it shipped here in time. So I'm not sure what to do! I don't really want to wait until June to give it to her at her big party...??? I don't know what to do!

Swimsuit debate

Ok I need to know everyone's opinions on something. Do you think bikinis are appropriate for little girls? Like babies and little girls Hailey's age or a little older? I'm a really modest person, I don't even like wearing tank tops or shorts because I feel like I'm showing too much skin. I've gotten over this some and I'll now wear a lower cut shirt with a tank underneath or shorts if it's really really hot in the summer. So I'm not sure if it's my modesty or what, but I can't help but feel like bikinis are completely inappropriate for little girls. Esp. the little triangle top ones. But I know a lot of people, including my mother, mother in law and husband, feel like when they're as young as Hailey that's the only time a bikini IS appropriate, because they're so young and innocent...and when they get to be like school aged, that's when they become inappropriate. Last year I bought Hailey a one piece to keep at the sitter's, her cute little dark blue polka dotted one piece for home and then my mother in law got her a bikini for her birthday...it was a triangle top and boy shorts. She wore it once...MAYBE twice...at home in our front yard (now with the child molesting Mexicans living a few doors down no WAY would I let her wear a bikini at home--but we're moving this summer, so that won't be a problem). So I'm debating on whether or not to get her one this year. I've found 2 swimsuits at Old Navy that I LOVE and one is a bikini, ruffles all around the bikini bottoms, totally girly. The other is a one piece with a cut out back that I think is almost equally adorable. I'm for sure getting her the one piece if they have it in the store tonight when I go. What I'm trying to decide on though, is whether or not to get her the completely adorable bikini too or try to find another one piece I like. And yes she needs two swimsuits. Sometimes one might not get washed right away and she'll need a clean suit (like if we go to the Lake for a weekend--the cabin doesn't have a washer and dryer). It's not good for little girls to wear dirty suits or sit in a wet suit for long periods of time (or any female for that matter, not just little girls) as it can cause yeast infections or other irritations. Some women/girls have NO problems w/ this whatsoever. But we were, unfortunately, blessed with sensitive hoohas that get irritated really easily. :)

Here are the suits...

New pants :)

I finally broke down and ordered these khakis from AE Monday. They were on sale for $29.95 and they were having a free shipping on ANY purchase deal for President's Day. They should be here any day now...I can't wait to get them so I can finally wear my new shoes, not to mention have more options for work outfits! I have quite a few sweaters and shirts I can wear with khakis, but didn't have a decent pair!

A certain store that I should probably live VERY far away from is having a big sale. 40% off all baby and kids clothes. I got Hailey 16 items for $77. I believe she's set for summer now!

Some of the items I purchased:

It's a love/hate relationship...

So I finally broke down today and bought a new pair of work shoes. I'm not sure if I like them. Actually I don't really love them. They're cute, they're just not me. I wear clogs w/ khakis to work so these are a bit off the beaten path for me...they're brown by the way, they look black in the picture.
So then I ran by Gap because I still had my $40 gift card that D's grandparents gave me for Christmas. I tried on a pair of khakis because I am seriously in need of some new ones. The 2 pair I have are from before I got pregnant with Hailey...one pair is so tight on my belly it gives me a serious muffin top (uncomfortable!!) and the other pair are so shredded around the bottoms and stained from the charcoal crap they put on the roads in the winter! The pants at Gap were so cute...straight leg but they didn't look tapered and yet they weren't too baggy either. They were perfect! I grabbed a 2 Ankle and went to the dressing room...HUGE. I mean I pulled them up w/out unbuttoning them and they gaped off me. I walked out of the room and the salesgirl was like "OMG those are huge on you!" Of course they don't carry a 0 Ankle in the store so I tried on a 0 regular to see if they at least fit. They fit but they gaped off my waist in the back a good 2 inches!! WHY do they make pants to do this?? It's like you can't be curvy and find pants to fit anymore! GRRRRR So I bought these two shirts instead...the 3/4 sleeved one I bought in a light blue color but of course they don't have that color online. It's really soft but the neck is a little wide so I don't know if I'll keep it...and the tank shoes my bra straps, so I don't know if I'll keep it either! I think it's really cute though...

Yesterday I'd found a pair of shoes that I really liked online at Penney's but of course they didn't have my size in either the black OR the brown. I got back from lunch today and thought I'd check again JUST IN CASE and lo and behold they had my size in brown. I ordered them. I like the black ones better online but I'm hoping I'll love the brown ones in person.
For having no style sense I'm so freaking picky! So now I have 2 pairs of brown shoes and no black ones!! I'm going to wait til I get the others in the mail and see which ones I like better and take back the ones I don't like. In the meantime I'm still on the lookout for a cheap pair of black shoes that aren't hideous. Seriously, I need help. I love shopping but I have no idea what is in style or how to put outfits together or what looks good on me, which makes me hate shopping for myself!! Sometimes I wish somebody would nominate me for that show What Not To Wear on TLC! But then I'd have to give up my nice comfy sweats that I sleep in and my worn in comfy clogs that I wear everywhere (even work!!) and be forced to spend $200 on a pair of pants that I have to dry clean and that would just make me sick to my stomach...jeez I really am picky.

To do

I thought it was amazing that my husband took it upon himself to go to the bank before it closed today to deposit our loan check. I was actually quite proud...and thankful, because I had a million things to do tonight and most of them required money! To start the night my mom treated us to Starbuck's, and I finally got to try the White Chocolate Mocha that Wendy recommended to me, and OH MY GOD it was amazing! Thanks Wendy!! I also ordered a few balloons for the shower Sunday(getting Hailey a FREE balloon in the process!), got Hailey her new coat and hat set from Old Navy(I've officially learned my lesson on bragging...while her coat from last season does indeed still fit her, I realized it's not roomy enough for her to really move in...it sort of holds her arms out straight like a little gingerbread girl and she is now refusing to wear it) and got the gifts and other shower necessities from Walmart. Imagine my surprise when I get home and check our bank account, and it's pending overdrawn! The loan check wasn't even pending deposit yet! I freaked out and brought the fact up to D and he said he hoped it didn't matter that he didn't endorse the check. !!!!!! He said there wasn't a line on the back to endorse it so he just didn't, and they didn't turn it over to check (they have ALWAYS checked when I've deposited checks over all these years, ALWAYS). He thought no line meant you didn't have to sign it. That really goes to show you just how little he knows about finances. So, I'm freaking out a bit and hoping all these charges don't go through tomorrow. If they do, we are going to be seriously overdrawn. D has his deposit receipt, and if that does happen I am going to take the receipt to them and tell them this was their mistake for not making sure he endorsed the check and get our overdraft fees refunded. Luckily my friend used to work at the bank in the cust. serv. center so she knows who I should talk to. Hopefully this won't be the case. But this means I have to get D's but out of bed by 9:00 tomorrow when the bank opens to make him go check on this whole ordeal. Which brings me to my To Do list for tomorrow:

7:00 am - Wake up to Hailey either knocking on her door, crying or calling for me "MOMMEEE!"

7:10 am - Change Hailey's diaper and get her some juice or milk, whatever she prefers

7:15 am - Find some cartoons on TV, do my normal morning restroom routine

7:30 am - Get Hailey a nana or waffle or whatever else she demands for breakfast...possibly yogurt with blueberries

8:00 am - Start the process of moving Hailey's toys to her bedroom. Organize everything that's left in the living room.

The rest of the morning(my mom's coming over at some point to help thank goodness) - Finish de-cluttering the living room. Clean off the bar. Load/run/unload/reload the dishwasher. Start laundry. Clean kitchen counters and floor. De-clutter and organize dining room. Vacuum. Make cheese ravioli and mozzarella cheese bread for lunch. Shampoo carpets (we had a little vaporizer incident in Hailey's room, which now smells like mildew much to my dismay). Take a break by going over to our family friend's house and help them decorate their Christmas tree while letting the carpets dry!

Afternoon - On the way back home stop by the party store for a couple banners or decorations or something for the shower. Also buy some plastic cups, because I forgot to get some when I was at the store tonight. Make sure D has done the things on his honey do list which include taking out the trash, hanging up the shelf in the bathroom so I can de-clutter the counter, hanging up his hat rack I bought him ages ago and he's never used. Clean hall bathroom. Wash rugs for bathroom again(I like them to be nice and fluffy!).

Evening - Make cakes. I'm making (at my sister's request) a confetti cake with rainbow chip icing. I'm also making her little heart shaped red velvet cakes w/ cream cheese icing, because those are her fav. My mom is making white chocolate covered strawberries and white chocolate covered Oreos. Fill extra ice trays to be sure and have enough ice. Keep doing laundry.

Finally, drop into bed exhausted. Sunday I should just have to set out a few decorations, get the bar set up with the cakes and snacks, wrap the gifts and tie up the balloons outside. My grandma and aunt are coming over early to help keep Hailey busy while I get last minute things done.

It sounds pretty simple when I write it all down like that. But I have a feeling I'm going to be running around like a chicken w/ my head cut off tomorrow. I am really looking forward to the shower Sunday though, and to be truthful this is my thing, I LOVE planning parties like this! I just wish I had more time so I didn't have to be so rushed. I borrowed my in-law's camera so I should have plenty of great pictures to post!

Ok I've gotta go watch a movie with D. He rented Knocked Up which I've heard is pretty funny and I've been wanting to see for a long time! We haven't been able to afford renting movies for a long time now!!

Before I go, here's the coat and hat set I got Hailey from Old Navy tonight...I got the coat on sale for $23!

Well...

So I finally found a dress for the wedding in October! Preggo here at work actually found it for me. At Sears for 6$...seriously a huge bargain, it's a really nice dress EXACTLY in the style I wanted(black, 3 quarter-length sleeves, wrap dress)! I'm telling everyone Preggo is my very own Personal Shopper. I wore it to work today so she could tell me what she thought of it on me, and everyone keeps saying how nice I look. So that makes me feel good! And I'm thoroughly enjoying wearing heels today(cute little strappy sandals I've had forever but haven't had anything to wear them with in years)...I love the little tap tap tap noise they make as I walk. So wish I was rich, I would have heels in every color. I would love these from WetSeal...

Although I really don't have anywhere to wear them so it would really be a waste of money. Oh well they're cute anyway though.

Halloween & Weddings!!

Hailey is going to be a ballerina for Halloween! We got the cutest little skirt in the little girls dept. at Walmart and these shoes at Target...

Now we just need to find a long sleeved onesie...

I think this coat from Old Navy is so cute! It looks like one I would have had when I was little. If Hailey's coat from last year didn't still fit her, I would definitely have to get her this one!!

We have ANOTHER wedding to go to this Saturday! I have no idea what we're going to wear. But I love the family to pieces, so hopefully it will be a lot of fun! I'll try to take pics...those of you on my MySpace friends list, I'll try to get pics posted there soon after. Now, for the really good news...I've convinced my sister to get married HERE! We're so excited. She's excited to actually have a really wedding, instead of a Vegas deal...and I'll be there, standing by her side. I have to find something to wear before then. It's all very quick...in December! But I told her I'll help her pull everything together. Anyone have any cheap wedding ideas? I think for her cake we're going to do sheet cakes to serve to the guests, and we're going to make the boquets ourselves! Any and all ideas would be very helpful! I'm really excited, I love doing this sort of thing! I'm going to be making the invites too, so any ideas for that would be good too! She's already got her dress, it's really pretty! Unfortunately we did get some really horrible news...her fiance will be going back to Iraq in Feb./March next year. My sister is very heartbroken about that. Her first 8 months or so as a newlywed will be spent apart from each other. But we're all trying to stay positive.

Wednesday randomness...

I’m so excited, I had ordered some scrapbook supplies from LTD and they came in yesterday. I thought the three kits would kind of help me get started, since the pages already have spots for pictures and such. They were only $4.95 a piece and they come with stickers and die cuts and 16 pages...

Vacation:

Friends & Family:

Four Seasons:

I also ordered these for $6.95 and they are SO neat...I love the little tags!

I'm planning on using the card table we have set up in the corner of the dining room as my scrapbook/photo album area once I get to cleaning it off. I also need to get some storage containers for my supplies. My mom has no interest in scrapbooking...she thinks they look neat, but that's about it. Well last night she was going on about how we need to get me some special scizzors and pens and such. I only have 1 pair of the scizzors and a few pens...I think black, purple, dark blue and silver. I already know some of the things to put on my Christmas list this year! My mother in law is going to be so excited...she loves shopping for us girls, esp. when she knows what we want! All I have to do is give her a list...I'm also asking for a new skillet this year. Mine is getting so old and I use it so much it's really wearing out! Anyway...anybody have any ideas for scrapbook supplies that I just shouldn't live without???

D'S HOME!! YAY!! So excited. It was so nice to walk into our bedroom to get dressed this morning and see him laying in bed. When I got Hailey up I told her Daddy was home and asked if she wanted to go see him and she smiled really big and said "uh huh!" She gave him a kiss and giggled. Hopefully he'll get home from practice in time to see her tonight. I think she really misses him. He misses her like crazy.

WELL...I'm finally done...I finally read the last Harry Potter! If you haven't read it and are going to, stop here, because I'm about to say a few things about it. First off, I think it was awesome. Loved it. It was my favorite one of all of them. There is one thing I'm confused on though. Why did the Elder Wand choose Draco as it's new master, and how did Harry know this?? Did I miss something? When he was talking to Voldemort in the end and he told him that, I was like WHAT?? I think I'll probably have to re-read the book eventually, I know I had to of missed some things. Now I don't know what I'm going to do over my lunch break! I used to be so excited to go read Potter...it seems weird that they're over with. I can't imagine what the last movie is going to be like. All those deaths...I wonder how much they'll skip over and what they'll include. To me the whole story seems so important to the ending of the tale. I guess we'll see!

I made a major booboo. I've been so exhausted since D's been gone, from getting no sleep...I completely forgot to start my new pack of pills Sunday. I realized this yesterday. I was reading Kayce's comment on a post from a couple days ago and thought oh no... I took Monday and yesterday's pills last night and just skipped the first pill in the pack. Is that ok?? I hope I didn't totally screw up my cycle. It was just now finally getting back on track. I have to call my dr. at some point this month, see if she can give me 3 more months worth of samples. She had wanted me to go off them in October because we were going to start trying in December, but now that we're shooting for March or April I figure I'll take my last pack in December. But there isn't a generic for the brand I take, so my ins. makes me pay a crap load for them. Hopefully my dr. still has samples.

Hope everyone is having a good week so far! The weather here has been WONDERFUL!! I went home and changed last night and then took Hailey to the park. It was only 80 degrees, and dropping as the night went on. It was beautiful! Last night it got downright cold...in the 40's! I'm excited at being able to put different clothes on Hailey finally...her summer clothes were getting so boring! I put her little goucho capris on her this morning (hand me downs from my friend S--I actually bought them for her little girl a year or so ago!) and a jacket that, get this...is from LAST SPRING! All her jackets/coats still fit her, how cool is that?? They were big on her last season. They're all 6-12 months. But now they fit her great! That reminds me, I noticed something this morning...Hailey is thinning out. I've noticed lately that she only gets her big buddha belly after she eats now. When she wakes up in the morning it's a normal little pudgy belly. This morning as I was changing her diaper I noticed I could see the white lines of her leg rolls on her upper/inner thighs. Up until now I've had to spread the roll apart to see down in there. Her legs are definately looking thinner. I was so afraid she was going to be a little fat kid. Not that there's anything wrong with being fat, except I don't want her to have any health problems from being overweight. That runs in D's family! Luckily he's escaped it. Anyway...she's definately not my little baby anymore. I'll have to post pictures soon...

Go me

I got myself some new clothes this weekend. I figured I deserve it. I do work hard. Plus I got the promotion! Go me! Which means a raise. And an office. Don't mean to toot my own horn but...yea I rock.

Hailey told me she loves me tonight..."bub you, bub you!" How sweet is that? She's said it once before, months and months ago, but this was the first time she actually meant something when she said it. She also knows the #9 on the telephone, and will push it and say "nine!" My in-laws kept her overnight last night, since yesterday was hubby's birthday...this is only the 2nd time they've ever kept her. She survived, and had a good time...but she didn't sleep much at all and she didn't get much to eat so she was STARVING tonight at dinner. They just cannot get it through their heads that she is not their grandson, who goes to sleep on his own wonderfully and eats like a bird. For breakfast they didn't cut up her biscuit, so she didn't touch it...and for lunch they gave her a little piece of cheese and some Cheerios! That's it! Tonight at dinner she scarfed down a huge plate of breaded turkey, steamed peas and mandarine oranges and drank milk like there's no tomorrow, because all they would give her was freaking juice when I told them she only gets one juicebox a day of that Motts for Tots juice which is watered down. Their grandson drinks juice ALL DAY. By the time we got to her she was asking us for milk with BOTH hands, her little hands milking those imaginary udders like CRAZY...pitiful. She had a good time their, but I just don't feel like they listened to my instructions at all, even things that I stressed like DO NOT put her in the crib and let her fuss at night, we don't do that, we rock her no matter how restless she seems in our arms. She cried before she went to sleep. My baby cried herself to sleep, and that breaks my heart. I told his mom when we went to pick her up that even if she is restless going to sleep for us at night, and even if I have to look her in the face and tell her firmly "No Hailey, it's time to go Night Night"....she NEVER cries. His mom said "oh she doesn't?" and I said no, she doesn't. And she just kind of sat there. I was nice about it, don't get me wrong. I so wish it had worked out better. It would be so nice for her to be able to stay there once in a while. She was really excited to be there. When we were leaving and standing at the front door she was sitting on the living room floor playing and she waved quickly and said "bye!" without even glancing our way. It was so cute. It just obviously didn't go THAT well when I pick her up and she's not only exhausted but starving and really thirsty. SIGH...it felt so good to tuck her into her crib tonight. I feel so much more at peace having her home.

Thank You!

Well Hailey learned to say thank you today. It comes out something like "tant oo!" Good thing, because man has she ever been a pistol this weekend. Tantrums, defiance, "no!"...it's been rough so far. I took Friday afternoon off because I had my lovely annual girly exam, and Hailey thought that was pretty interesting. She was really good there, but then it all went downhill. For the first time ever I had to just box up my meal at a restaurant and we left when D was done eating. This whole running around thing is difficult...because she wants to run everywhere, away from us.

On to some cute things about the squirt. Tonight I asked her where her paci was. She bent down and lifted up the pillow on the floor to look underneath. And then her Ark toy, and then her book, and then her easter basket. It was too cute. She also had her first Farmer's Market experience today. She had a lot of fun, and charmed one lady out of a cut daisy and a guy out of a really pretty plant. She had her first oatmeal cookie from a local bakery...they're a yearly Farmer's Market tradition for me, so that was really special. She loved it. And apparently she loves this rosemary herb focacia!! (sp??) She's so funny.

Well I went shopping for a couple hours today with my mom after she got off work, since none of my clothes are fitting me yet again. I found a really cute pair of khaki capris at AE, in freaking size 0...no wonder my 2's have been bagging off my butt like I dumped in my pants. A freaking size 0...seriously...I haven't been in a 0 since my senior year of highschool. This is getting insane. I also found 6 cute shirts and I bought myself a really comfy cute bra, which I totally deserve (at 25$) because I normally wear 7$ Walmart bras(which I actually love)... And I only spent like 150$ on all that. Talk about awesome bargains.

I'll end this short & sweet post with a few pictures...

I know you can barely see her here, but this pic is funny...she was sticking her face above the shute to her ball popper, letting the air blow in her face and her hair was going crazy...
**PICTURE DELETED

This one is her crazy long hair in the bathtub!

**PICTURE DELETED**

And this is one from today at the Farmer's Market(which we went to with my mother in law, and it was really fun, we had a blast...Hailey danced to the guy playing the guitar and singing)

Attached at the hip

Hailey was attached to my hip this weekend even more so than usual. She wouldn't play, she wanted to waller all over me, and anywhere we went I had to carry her. She doesn't want anybody else but me. My mom took us to Olive Garden today for soup, salad and breadsticks and Hailey insisted on sitting on my lap the whole time. That's not like her! I don't know what's up, I don't know if she's just loving me more and more every day or what...she just hugs on me all day. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining! I love her to pieces. She's my little buddy. But I do feel bad for D. She hasn't wanted much to do with him lately. I guess she's probably just going through another phase. I had to have him take over rocking her to sleep tonight though. She wanted me to keep rocking her, and after 30 minutes or so I tried to lay her down. Usually, no problem, she rolls over and goes to sleep. On nights like tonight, she will never lay down and go to sleep for me. I lay her down and she stands up and cries for me to hold her. So on nights like this, the best thing to do is to hand her off to D. She cries for me for about 30 seconds, then she settles into her daddy and he gets her to sleep no problem. Which is good because I am SO STINKING TIRED. I had to get up with her both days this weekend since D had golf at the butt crack of dawn(he was so not happy about that). Yesterday I took my shower and all that while she was sleeping(the red mark on my forehead is still there by the way) so today I thought YES, I'll finally get a nap while she's napping! She went down about 10:15 or so...I got to sleep about 10:30...and darned if she didn't wake up at 10:45. She was exhausted, but for some reason she woke up crying really bad and wouldn't go back to sleep. So she wallered all over me on the couch for a while til she got hungry for lunch. My mom was going to watch her for a while so I could take a nap, but stupid me I thought no it's too late now I might as well just go about my day. So we went to the mall and I took a shirt back to Penneys that was too big. Before we left the house I had a mini-meltdown. I remember now why I wore the clothes I did before I got pregnant. Why I did wear more "mature" clothing...I can't find anything anywhere here in my size!! It is so frustrating, it brings me to tears. I found so many cute things this weekend that DON'T COME IN MY SIZE. I ended up wearing my white cargo pants and an XS green guy's T-shirt. Talk about frumpy. And then I promptly sat on some chocolate at Olive Garden so it looked like I doodied in my pants. I had to go by my mom's house and change into her black stretch pants...which are a medium so they bagged off my butt, so like always I looked like I dumped in my pants. But damn was I comfortable. And I found the cutest tshirt in the juniors section that has pink flowers all over it...it's pleated up at the top, and I tried it on and what does my mom say? "That looks like a maternity top"...I bought it anyway...hell at least it'll camoflauge my big belly. I've been so bloated lately, I seriously look about 18 wks pregnant. Do I care? Nope. It's funny, I've had 2 people at my new job ask me if I'm pregnant. I thought it was hilarious.

Back to my meltdown. I don't know what the hell to do about clothes. I have none. Nothing that fits or looks decent anyway. I did get a couple shirts this weekend, but that's not a whole wardrobe. Where the hell am I supposed to get clothes?? Everything I can find in the misses sections only goes down to a Small or a 4. If I had money right now I'd go to the Gap. But I don't even know if they'd have anything I like right now. Last summer I got a couple pairs of capris there that I LOVED, I wore them all the time...and now they're way too big for me. It's so depressing! I pulled out this Tshirt from the Gap that I wore last summer that I absolutely LOVED, and OH MY GOD it was huge. How could I have shrank that much? I don't feel that much smaller than I was then...it's really depressing me that I have no clothes, and I just don't know what to do...

I am noting, in case I didn't before, that Hailey loves blowing bubbles and brings them to me all the time asking "bubble?"... and tonight, I left the top unscrewed on her Gazillions of Bubbles, so she dumped it on the living room floor. And those are the expensive bubbles darn it. And how in the world do you clean bubbles off carpet? It just keeps foaming and foaming and foaming.

Today in Penney's Hailey insisted on walking everywhere, and stepping on any spot on the floor while saying "bug!" She STILL loves bugs, and she loves stepping on anything remotely bug-looking. That's my girl.

This post is pretty random and unorganized. I'm so tired. D is done rocking Hailey now, apparently she went to sleep wonderfully for him, thank God. So now that I can make noise in the household again, I'm going to get ready for bed. Yes there is still shredded cheese on the floor from her dinner, and bottles that need to be rinsed waiting in the sink, and clothes to be put away. I don't give a crap. I'm going to bed. Hopefully I won't be so tired tomorrow. I've got a busy day ahead of me.

By the way, we watched Ice Age 2, The Meltdown last night...pretty funny and cute! Better than the first one I think...

I'm a big kid now

I love it that Hailey can tell us what she wants now. All we have to do is ask her..."do you want to listen to music?" An enthusiastic head nod is the result. She dances like crazy, swaying back and forth in her car seat. I can tell she's getting tired. "Do you want to listen to more music?" A tired head shake. So I turn it off, and she's happy. I absolutely love this new thing she's mastered called communication. She may not be able to speak like we do, but she sure knows what we're asking and how to respond w/ her wants. She has, however, spoken her first sentence. Not quite 13 months, and a short sentence, but a sentence all the same. "More baba." When her milks gone, and she wants more in her bottle, "More baba." I'm so proud.

We turned her car seat around to face forward today. She loves it. I imagine she feels like part of the family now while we're in the car, able to see all that we're doing and have conversations with us. Oh yea and I get to see how she dances like crazy to music. Love it!

We went out for pizza tonight as a family. We had a gift certificate for our favorite pizza place left over from xmas, so we finally used it. Pizza on Cinco de Mayo...oh well we had fun :o)

I've started reading The Undomestic Goddess again...I finished The Giver, in case anyone noticed on my "I'm Currently Reading" section. I forgot how un-satisfying the ending is to that book. It always did leave me wondering what the heck happened next. I wish they'd written a second book, to follow up on what happens to them. All the same, it's still an awesome book. So now I'm back to The Undomestic Goddess, which I had a hard time getting into before. And I'm still having a hard time getting into it! I LOVE Sophie Kinsella's books, the Shopaholic series is awesome. But this one isn't as wonderful. Luckily I found my 4th shopaholic book, "Shopaholic and Sister" as I was cleaning my car this evening. YEA! It's been missing since I left my other job. I was afraid it was gone forever. So, once again I think I may have to put aside the Goddess book and go back to my good ol' Shopaholic series. After all, the 5th book, Shopaholic and Baby has come out, and I haven't even read the 4th book yet! Does anybody else read?

Alright so weird crap always happens to me. Today I put Hailey down to a nap and thought I'd take the opportunity to take a shower. I replaced the batteries in the monitor receiver since we haven't used it forever and it was dead, and I began taking a nice hot shower. I had to take it in the master bath so I wouldn't wake Hailey up, and in that bathroom all we have is the shower stall, not a tub. So I'm shaving my legs and the water is running down right on me. So of course I go to adjust the shower head, right? Easy enough, right? NO. Not for me it's not. I grab the shower head, go to adjust it, and POP it breaks and snaps clean off the pipe and PEGS ME IN THE FORHEAD! Talk about freaking hurting. So it bounces off my head and falls loudly to the floor, knocking over all the soap bottles. Thank God it didn't wake Hailey up. But now I have a big red line on my forhead that won't go away. And it gave me a big headache. And now we have no shower head...

My mom took me to Kohl's today and bought me a shirt and a pair of black pants for work. I need new clothes bad, I have nothing for summer since I'm 2 sizes smaller than I was last summer. I have no capris that fit, one pair of shorts which I'll hardly ever wear, and 2 pairs of jeans that bag off my butt like I dumped in my pants and my underwear pokes out the top(because like I said before, that's how I roll)...I am rattier than ratty looking. And I don't look 24. I'm tired of getting looks like "jeez, teen mom"...so I'm cleaning out all my old clothes and getting rid of them, and I'm going to slowly accumulate more mature "my age" clothing that actually fits. For that to occur I need more money and to quit losing weight. We'll see if that happens...

I took a 13 gallon trash bag of baby stuff to the local Children's Orchard today. I'm excited! They're supposed to call me in 3 to 5 days and tell me what they'll give me for it. I've got a few more things I'm going to take when I pick up the check, if they pay me halfway decent for what I took today. Hell if they pay me well enough, I'm thinking I could make a little extra money off this deal...my plan is, if the pay's decent for these items, I'm going to start going to garage sales on the weekends and picking up good clothes and things for really cheap and then sell them to this place for more than what I paid for them. We'll see if it works out. The extra money would be nice!

Alright I'm off to spend time with D since he's in town this weekend...

Saturday

So hot here today, lower 80's...I realized Miss H doesn't have any shorts! And she's so hot natured. I had to run to Old Navy and get her a few pair. I got her a pair of jean shorts and 2 pair of little knit shorts. Also got myself a couple new tank tops since the ones I wore last summer are huge on me now that my boobs and stomach have deflated/shrank. Also got H a really cute knit dress that will be so comfortable for her to wear this summer. She looked SO CUTE in her new little jean shorts today!! Her little chubby knees sticking out, it was ADORABLE! She still has a cold the poor thing, I can hear her coughing away right now :o(

Went to the in-laws tonight, D's grandparents are in town for my nephew's 2nd birthday tomorrow. The party is at 3:00. Not looking forward to that. I'm not close to my nephew, and he's not a kid I'm crazy about...I know that sounds mean but I'm just being honest. And I'm TIRED. We didn't get home tonight til 11:00!!! I left with D's mom and grandma for Walmart at 6:30(so I could get nephew some gifts) this evening and we didn't get back til 8:30!! H woke up from a long nap on her papa, ate dinner, played, and then got really fussy so we headed for home. And now I'm trying unsuccessfully to get to sleep. For some reason my arms are aching tonight...I don't know if it's from carrying her today or what, but owie.

Actually kind of excited to go in to work Monday to put in my resignation...nervous too though, eek!

Tonight I was telling my MIL and GrandMIL about the new swing I got H and I was afraid they would be thinking I was nuts for buying an infant swing for my 1 year old...instead, come to find out, his grandma was getting all excited thinking I was pregnant again! She said "Are you trying to tell us something??" And my MIL was like oh gosh you say the word baby around my mom and she's going to start hoping you're pregnant again! So funny...even though his grandparents were happy last time believe it or not, it's still very different now that we're married...anytime his mom thinks I might be pregnant again she doesn't seem upset or anything, everybody's like that now. It'll be nice when we finally can have another one, everybody will be so happy when I get pregnant!

Ok off to find some boring movie to try to put me to sleep...

It is March right??

Woke up this morning to snow...it's actually piling up and everything. And it's still coming down strong an hour and 1/2 later! I hope it doesn't last long. I was really done with snow this year.

SO TIRED...did not want to get up at 8 this morning when H woke up. She had pooped again. What's up with the morning poops lately? Not really what I want to do first thing in the morning, change poopy diaper. Good thing she's so stinking cute!

Went to Ruby Tuesday's last night for dinner to spend some family time since D is back home...we can't go anywhere without people talking to H and commenting on how cute she is. One older man came up to us and asked how old she is. We told him 11 months and he yelled at his wife..."honey 11 months!!!" We turned around, she was sitting a few booths behind us, and she said "Oh my, we have a granddaughter that's 14 months old and she doesn't have near as much hair as her! I just love her hair!!" We had it in pigtails, and she is VERY cute w/ her hair like that. D isn't used to being out and about w/ us like that since he's always so busy and gone, so he's not used to all the attention we get when we take H out. I could just see him beaming from ear to ear. It was too cute.

Spent like an hour after we got home last night looking for this black knit nightie thing I bought at Old Navy before the honeymoon...never wore it on the honeymoon, had just had H 3 months before and was still healing. So now I have no idea where it is and it's driving me nuts, it would be so comfy to sleep in this summer...but on the plus side while I was looking for it I found tons of clothes that I thought had disappeared!! YEA!! I'm very excited about that. And I found the tie thing to my robe that I'd been missing forever so that's pretty awesome.

I'm trying to decide how late I should let D sleep. If he doesn't get enough sleep he's no fun to be around, but I NEVER get to sleep in...I'd like to lay back down for like an hour. I love my soft warm bed!!!

TGIF

It's finally Friday again, YAY!!!!!!! Actually this week has flown by. D was gone all week but we were so busy I didn't even have time to sit and pine for him like I usually do. I am very happy he's home though, it was so nice to cuddle up next to him in bed last night. I did what I usually do, cuddle up next to him so bad I literally almost push him off the bed...he has like 2 ft. of space if that to sleep on and we've got a queen bed. Hopefully he's happy to be home to :o) Miss H was so happy to see him this morning. She smiled really big and giggled and then stuck her finger in his belly button. She fell asleep on the living room floor last night about 8:00 and I couldn't get her to wake up enough so I put her pjs on her at 9:00 and rocked her to sleep w/ a bottle and she slept all night til 7:40 this morning when she woke up because she'd pooped. I could tell she was so tired. I don't know if it's the time change or how busy we've been or what, but she needed the rest. She was in a GREAT mood when she woke up this morning.

I absolutely love my drive to work every day. I take the back roads through the country because it's actually faster and WAY better scenery. It's so nice w/ no traffic, and I see deer and turkeys and chickens on the way there, and little birds swoop around my car. It's so peaceful!

I got a call from the school system last night wanting to set up an interview w/ me! They called while I was still at work and by the time I got off they were closed so I was going to call them back at lunch today using D's phone(mine's still messed up)...and they just called again! I can't answer because 1. they couldn't hear me talk anymore since my phone's messed up and 2. I'm at work! My mom just emailed me(she works for the school system at an elementary school) and said they just called her asking if I'd gotten my message yesterday! She told them I'd be calling them at lunch. I haven't turned in my 3 letters of recommendation yet, I need to get a move on on that. I'm so excited though...this is a payroll job requiring 2 yrs of experience, and I have accounts payable experience not payroll. But I applied anyway thinking what could it hurt, and they are actually interviewing me! It's really hard to get a job w/ the school system though so I'm not getting my hopes up. But how cool would that be? And the pay is more than I make here, AND they would pay for my health insurance! I would still have to pay group rates for H and D, but that would help a ton if they'd pay mine. So we'll see what happens with that...

Busy day so far, a million cks to do. Thank God it's Friday. Trying to figure out what I'm going to do tonight, don't know when D's going to be home. I was thinking about going by this children's used clothing store, I used to get some of H's clothes there when she was a little baby, but they've gotten kind of pricey. The stuff is really good condition but still it's used...I don't really want to pay 7.50 for a Gap onesie when I could buy a brand new one for not much more than that! But sometimes I would find really good deals, cute little dresses or whatnot for 2.00 or so. I'm really wanting to go to Old Navy, but we don't have any money...I need a couple more of their knit skirts since I wear those a TON in the summer and the ones I had last year are way too big now. And some tank tops, since my boobs also shrank quite a bit since last summer...since I quit breastfeeding they've steadily shrank. Will probably end up just hanging around the house...wish it was still warm, I'd love to take H on a walk!

Better get to work...D's meeting me for lunch today, I'm looking forward to that.

So cute dress

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Gotta get this dress for H, reminds me of something I would wear when I was a little girl!! Would look so cute w/ a little pair of jellies!
