Male Pregnancy **UPDATED**

Has anybody else heard of this??? I'd heard about a man recently that is supposedly pregnant and went searching the net for info. I'm interested in odd things like that. I found the story that everybody's talking about right now...the man who supposedly used to be a woman but left all his female parts intact when he had his sex change, and his wife can't get pregnant so they impregnated "him" instead. Which yea, seems weird, but it's technically not a pregnant MAN.
But I also found something I hadn't heard anything about. A guy named Mr. Lee Mingwei that is really and truly a male but that has been impregnated in his abdominal cavity. I didn't know they'd actually really done this yet? I thought it was just something they were researching and had done in movie plots and whatnot. I'd read about how it would/could work, but didn't know they'd gone any farther with it. The site looks legit though and they show covers of big-name magazines covering the story. I'm a little shocked that this isn't making bigger news if it's the real deal.
I'm bookmarking the site on Mr. Lee...I don't know why I'm fascinated by medical "oddities" like this! I'm really curious to see if he actually delivers and comes through this whole ordeal okay...the delivery would be, theoretically, incredibly dangerous!
Anybody know anymore info on either of these stories?

Something a little odd...Cryptozoology
List of Cryptids
Cow Eating Trees
Phantom Kangaroos
Bloop
These are just a few of the creatures on the list...it's pretty interesting if you have any interest in mythical creatures or that sort of thing.

My obsession

My old neighbor had this weird obsession with buying toilet paper in bulk when it was on sale and stockpiling it in their bathroom cabinet...I mean literally like a hundred rolls, it was crazy. It's been a running joke for years, about "D and her toilet paper"...if you ran out have no fear, D would save the day. I guess we all have our quirks.
I confess...I may have a tiny obsession with
GIFT BOXES
GIFT BOXES
Every year as Christmas gets nearer I start getting really antsy. Many people look forward to the after Christmas sales for things like half priced clothing, electronics or toys. Not me. I rush to the stores and comb the holiday isles for displays of 50% off gift boxes. I stockpile them in my closet like crazy. White ones are great, but I esp. love finding good bargains on sets with cute designs. One year I found gift boxes at Target on sale after Christmas for 75% off...I got huge packs of really cute boxes for next to nothing, it was awesome! Last night we went to the Dollar Tree (because that is the ONLY place in town that has Shrek wrapping paper--I got a red and green roll of Shrek and a roll of Spongebob, Hailey's going to love it!) and I was in HEAVEN. Gift boxes galore, in CUTE designs, all for only $1 a package. I am a HUGE bargain shopper...there's nothing like getting a good deal! So that totally made my night...not only did I find cute gift boxes but I found an awesome deal on them! Later that night I called my mom and told her of my find. Of course she replied "Did you really need them?" My reply..."Are you serious? Of course I needed them! I ALWAYS need boxes!!" I think I may have a tiny problem...
In my defense, I do use gift boxes a lot. I wrap CD's in them, books, clothing, pictures...everything. Unless it comes in it's own big generic sized box, I wrap it in a gift box. I hate it when people can look at a gift and guess what it is by the size of the packaging. This year we actually had money for gifts. I need boxes for the clothes I got for my mom, the cd's I got for Dan (I found the PERFECT sized boxes for those, SO excited about that) and the framed pictures of Hailey we're giving the family.
Some people cheat and use the cute boxes as wrapping and just put a bow on the top. This is totally cheating. I know it seems pointless to have such a cute box and then wrap it too...I guess it's my own little satisfaction knowing there's a cute box underneath all that paper.
I'm totally one of those people that gives a gift and then asks if they're going to keep the gift box. If they aren't, I ask for it back...I collapse it and re-store it to be used again. As they're opening the box I sit there hoping they don't just rip it open.
I'm also a bit of a freak about gift bags. I'm always on the lookout for cheap, cute bags. Walmart is a great place to find these. They always have cute sets on the end of an isle...with matching tissue paper. I also found 2 really cute gift bags at Dollar Tree last night. Anybody that knows me well enough to be receiving a gift from me knows I'd really like the bag back to reuse. I share this quirk with my mother in law...I love that we have this in common. She is also slightly obsessed with cute bags and boxes, although her obsession also includes bows(mine does not, I hate wasting money on fancy bows)...we've bonded over this obsession we have, and really enjoy finding new special bags to give each other gifts in(which we then take back to reuse of course).
I may not be an organized person...my house is chaos, my life is chaos, even my gift wrapping paper is just thrown in the closet (I really want one of those organizers but I won't spend the money on one)...but anytime I need to wrap a gift I have just the right bag or box. That's one thing I never have to worry about.
I never, however, have any tape...

Talk about Bridezilla!

The big day is almost here and I'm left combing the net for the perfect bridesmaid hairstyle. During my search I came across this site. This particular section really caught my eye:
Coordinating Hair Color
In addition to selecting a hairstyle for your bridesmaid you may want to consider coordinating their hair color as well. Having your bridesmaids’ hair colored to match or to reflect your wedding’s theme can be a great way to really step up the look of your wedding party, and it can also be a great bridesmaid gift.
And I thought when my best friend got married years ago and asked us to all wear the exact same shades of makeup as her(she was pale, I'm dark skinned and another bridesmaid was black--would NOT have worked!) that SHE had gone nutty! If someone went so far as to ask me to dye my hair for their wedding I think I would have to tell them just what I thought of that idea. Seriously, come on people!Monday, November 5, 2007
Restroom Etiquette
Why is it that the bathroom here at work(with 2 stalls) will sit empty all day. ALL day...until I have to run to the bathroom urgently(you know my stupid IBS!). Then somebody always follows me in, ALWAYS! What the heck is the deal?? And I am not about to take a crap with other people in the room, no way...so I have to make some excuse. If I haven't gotten into the stall yet, I just wash my hands and leave. If I am already in the stall, I just act like I've already gone and flush the toilet and wash my hands and leave. Basically I don't get to take care of my business, and am left in pain. One time I tested it, and left the bathroom only to return 5 minutes later...ANOTHER person followed me in. I tried this 3 times in a row that day, each time someone else following me in. Seriously. It's like some cruel sick joke. I so miss the private bathroom w/ the lock on the door from my old job. That was probably the only good thing about that place...I could poop in peace.
Furthermore, while I am on this subject...even on the rare occasion I do get the bathroom all to myself, I have to sit and stare at this irritating sign:

Restroom Etiquette:

3. Please check toilet seat after use and clean if necessary.

A copy of it resides on the inside of the door to each stall and also on the wall next to the sinks. I read it over and over and think DUH, seriously? Does this person think we are complete idiots? I can only imagine that this sign was aimed at a former employee, as I can't see any of us that work here now leaving pee splatters on the toilet seat or littering the floor with used paper towels. Although, as I was leaving the restroom this afternoon I did notice a paper towel on the floor NEXT to the trash can instead of IN...I am sure we'll have an email tomorrow about how to properly use the bathroom trash receptacle. Just as a "little reminder" you know...and I can't help but wonder who dared to break the rules...

I'm a bit tired
As I was walking through the parking lot at work today a huge bug pegged me in the ear and then flew off. Does that happen to everyone? I’d just like to know…because bugs frequently just run into me out of nowhere, in broad daylight. It happens often. It’s odd.
I had weird dreams last night. I don’t think I slept well. I dreamt that while I was putting Hailey’s car seat in another car some girls all piled in, and while I was trying to get them out of the car(one was sitting in her car seat?) someone ran off with Hailey and turned her into a miniature poodle. I remember thinking in the dream “how on earth is she going to fit in her car seat now??” So my mom and I are walking around, me carrying my mini-poodle in my hands…and my uncle (the one that is a preacher, the one that married D and I) stole my car. And my mom said “if he doesn’t bring that back I’m going to be so pissed.” ?????

As much as I hate it, I've gotta love this place...
I bitch about the town I live in...over-crowded, too expensive, rude-ass loud people. And then something happens that makes me think to myself "God, I love this town." There are 2 highschools here, the huge, more diverse one that I graduated from, and the one on the South side of town where all the rich kids or wanna be rich kids go (this is by where I live)...apparently kids these days have started up the old tradition of the "senior prank." We didn't do one my year, because the year before us had gotten in some serious trouble. Well, the people that participated did anyway. They actually defaced a bunch of school propery with white paint. Now there were what like 1000 kids or something in my graduating class, a bit fewer in the year before, and only a handfull of people got in trouble. But it was bad. They couldn't attend graduation, and had to do a bunch of community service and crap before they could get their diploma, among other things. Scared my class straight apparently. Not that I would be one to participate in a school prank anyway...that's just not how I roll. ANYWAY...I heard a story today that made me think "God I love this town." The administrators of the richy high school came to work today to find six sheep wandering the halls. Yes, sheep. I have no idea how on earth these kids got them in. How they transported them to the school, got them inside the building at 2:00 in the morning w/out setting off the alarms, how they weren't seen. But against all odds, it happened. How freaking funny is that? Now THAT'S a Senior Prank.
In other news, I now have this lovely head cold crap, because Hailey has been really into long slobbery kisses lately and as her mother how could I refuse? So as a lovely side effect, she's passed her ickiness onto moi. I feel like complete crap. SO tired...she woke up at 4:00 this morning, I have no idea why...3 nights in a row now she's woken up at night! D told me to just put her in our bed, which I didn't want to do but was so tired and cruddy feeling I did anyway, and she slept for a good 30 minutes before sitting up insisted she have a "baba" while doing the whole hand gesture like she's squeezing a cow's udder...which apparently is the lovely sign for "milk." D got up and made her a bottle, made her go with him(she's so attached to my hip lately!) and she sucked down the bottle and apparently went right back to sleep in her crib. He came back to bed empty handed, and I was amazed. My wonderful amazing husband. Unfortunately the fan in our bedroom somehow got turned off (did I lay my head on the remote on the nightstand when she was in bed with us??) which I didn't realize til my alarm was going off, and I can't sleep without that fan. SO no more sleep for me after about 4:20 this morning. Jeez I really take a long time to tell a simple story. I'm tired and I feel like crap...there, why is that so hard for me? I always feel the need to elaborate...
I bought a huge box of Huggies Supreme today...I never should have tried them.
Hailey said another 2 word sentence today at the sitters. "Push me." She was in the swing. And she was saying the word "down" tonight while hiking her fat little leg over the side of the grocery card. By the way, when I finally gave in and let her "down" she ran back and forth across the isle, first to the ham, then to the biscuits, then the ham, then the biscuits...choices choices, my oh my.
I'm feeling very accomplished today. Despite my feeling CRAPPY, I got my cat her prescription cat food at lunch and a new scratching post which is 2 months overdue(supposed to be for her birthday, which is 1 day after Hailey's)...and I also got the invites to Hailey's party this weekend filled out and addressed. Now I just have to mail them off tomorrow. Oh we also took the baby swing and the exersaucer over to my mom's tonight to store. D spent some time with us, which I love. It makes me feel married when he's home in the evenings like that. I love it! And he also emptied and refilled/ran the dishwasher today and took out the trash...and didn't make a mess of the house! Again, my wonderful husband. It's the little things that count.
Ok gotta go blog reading before I fall asleep right here.

I'm a big kid now
I love it that Hailey can tell us what she wants now. All we have to do is ask her..."do you want to listen to music?" An enthusiastic head nod is the result. She dances like crazy, swaying back and forth in her car seat. I can tell she's getting tired. "Do you want to listen to more music?" A tired head shake. So I turn it off, and she's happy. I absolutely love this new thing she's mastered called communication. She may not be able to speak like we do, but she sure knows what we're asking and how to respond w/ her wants. She has, however, spoken her first sentence. Not quite 13 months, and a short sentence, but a sentence all the same. "More baba." When her milks gone, and she wants more in her bottle, "More baba." I'm so proud.
We turned her car seat around to face forward today. She loves it. I imagine she feels like part of the family now while we're in the car, able to see all that we're doing and have conversations with us. Oh yea and I get to see how she dances like crazy to music. Love it!
We went out for pizza tonight as a family. We had a gift certificate for our favorite pizza place left over from xmas, so we finally used it. Pizza on Cinco de Mayo...oh well we had fun :o)
I've started reading The Undomestic Goddess again...I finished The Giver, in case anyone noticed on my "I'm Currently Reading" section. I forgot how un-satisfying the ending is to that book. It always did leave me wondering what the heck happened next. I wish they'd written a second book, to follow up on what happens to them. All the same, it's still an awesome book. So now I'm back to The Undomestic Goddess, which I had a hard time getting into before. And I'm still having a hard time getting into it! I LOVE Sophie Kinsella's books, the Shopaholic series is awesome. But this one isn't as wonderful. Luckily I found my 4th shopaholic book, "Shopaholic and Sister" as I was cleaning my car this evening. YEA! It's been missing since I left my other job. I was afraid it was gone forever. So, once again I think I may have to put aside the Goddess book and go back to my good ol' Shopaholic series. After all, the 5th book, Shopaholic and Baby has come out, and I haven't even read the 4th book yet! Does anybody else read?
Alright so weird crap always happens to me. Today I put Hailey down to a nap and thought I'd take the opportunity to take a shower. I replaced the batteries in the monitor receiver since we haven't used it forever and it was dead, and I began taking a nice hot shower. I had to take it in the master bath so I wouldn't wake Hailey up, and in that bathroom all we have is the shower stall, not a tub. So I'm shaving my legs and the water is running down right on me. So of course I go to adjust the shower head, right? Easy enough, right? NO. Not for me it's not. I grab the shower head, go to adjust it, and POP it breaks and snaps clean off the pipe and PEGS ME IN THE FORHEAD! Talk about freaking hurting. So it bounces off my head and falls loudly to the floor, knocking over all the soap bottles. Thank God it didn't wake Hailey up. But now I have a big red line on my forhead that won't go away. And it gave me a big headache. And now we have no shower head...
My mom took me to Kohl's today and bought me a shirt and a pair of black pants for work. I need new clothes bad, I have nothing for summer since I'm 2 sizes smaller than I was last summer. I have no capris that fit, one pair of shorts which I'll hardly ever wear, and 2 pairs of jeans that bag off my butt like I dumped in my pants and my underwear pokes out the top(because like I said before, that's how I roll)...I am rattier than ratty looking. And I don't look 24. I'm tired of getting looks like "jeez, teen mom"...so I'm cleaning out all my old clothes and getting rid of them, and I'm going to slowly accumulate more mature "my age" clothing that actually fits. For that to occur I need more money and to quit losing weight. We'll see if that happens...
I took a 13 gallon trash bag of baby stuff to the local Children's Orchard today. I'm excited! They're supposed to call me in 3 to 5 days and tell me what they'll give me for it. I've got a few more things I'm going to take when I pick up the check, if they pay me halfway decent for what I took today. Hell if they pay me well enough, I'm thinking I could make a little extra money off this deal...my plan is, if the pay's decent for these items, I'm going to start going to garage sales on the weekends and picking up good clothes and things for really cheap and then sell them to this place for more than what I paid for them. We'll see if it works out. The extra money would be nice!
Alright I'm off to spend time with D since he's in town this weekend...

I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it....
WOW I am in a weird mood today. A very good mood, silly, excited, crazy....great mood! First off, this is my last day in the poo hole, YEAH!!! And I don't have to work a full day...DOUBLE YEAH!! Because this is my last day here, ever, I don't have to worry about how many hours I got in this week, or what work I got done today. It's a free for all, I can do whatever I want and nobody can get onto me, YEAH! So right now I'm doing checks, because yea I'm such a rebel...sigh...but I'm taking my time and I'm blogging and oh wait, that's nothing different... yea I told you I'm in a weird mood. So anyway, I also called this place about a medical bill today because I got a statement for $314 from when hubby went to the ER back in January. I called to set up a payment plan and the girl kind of giggled and said "but the balance is only $43!" Excuse me?? I told her what my statement said, and she said the insurance paid more on it and it must have crossed in the mail with that payment. They're sending me another statement for the $43 and I can just pay that when I get it. Awesome. I am thousands and thousands of dollars in debt between hospital/medical bills and freaking credit cards etc. because of hubby being in school. So this was great news. I'm also excited because H's daycare goes down after next week! Only one more week of paying $150. It only goes down to $125, but hey that means we're $100 less short than we were per month! I called my MIL Wednesday night bawling, I was so stressed about money because I got that stupid bill in the mail for $314. She's great, she calmed me down and gave me a new perspective on things. I hate money. Anyway...so back to the fact that I'm leaving here, after today I will no longer be an employee here!! I feel like I should be sad...I should be thinking this is my last day here ever, my last day at my desk, my last day using the microwaves in the kitchen, my last day taking a pee in the poo-strewn bathroom. But I'm sorry, I'm just excited... I packed up my stuff 2 days ago. I'm all ready to personalize my new work space at my shiny new job. Speaking of my new job, my new boss just called me to get a 4 digit number from me for my new security code to get in the building. He told me to "take it easy" before we got off the phone. I think I'm really going to like that place.
I don't know if I'm on a sugar high from this chocolate chocolate chip muffin a coworker made me, or what.
I'm going to lunch with my friend MM again today...went to lunch with her and another friend Monday. But MM is really sad I'm leaving her after all these years and she took this afternoon off so we're going to do lunch again. She's all paranoid I'm going to forget about her once I'm at the new job and never talk to her again. She told me I'm required 5 emails a day to her. It sucks because she lives in a different town, so we hardly ever get to get together aside from work. But we'll just have to now...
I'm finally starting to realize that I had a baby. I'm a breeder....and I don't mean that in a bad way. But I mean, I actually had a baby...I contributed to the human population. I made a person, that is going to grow up and have her own life and have her own babies. You have to understand, I did not plan on having a baby for at least a few more years, I was not only completely shocked that I could even get pregnant(because all my life for some reason I just really felt like I would never be able to have a baby...I have no idea why, except maybe it was just a fear because I knew I wanted children so badly) but when I had the baby I was completely shocked at the fact that I had this baby to take care of, that I just wasn't prepared for. I feel totally blessed that God gave me a child, and blessed that I'm able to get pregnant and grow a perfectly healthy baby. It's just amazing...I'm a mom...I'm in the "parent" group now. I'm no longer one of those women that can't give parenting advice, or one of those women that "moms" ignore...people actually ask me parenting advice, listen when I talk about pregnancy or birth etc. And my daughter is amazing, she's so bright and perfect and she's always in the best mood, giving me smiles and hugs. Last night she was sitting in her chair eating peas on the living room floor and she started fussing like she wanted out of her chair. So I cleaned her off, thinking she was done. She climbed into my lap, leaned over and continued eating her peas, smearing pea goo all over my pants in the process. She just wanted to sit in my lap. I love moments like that. I love being a mom!!
Oh yea, and TGIF!!!

Curious like a cat... and wow do cat farts stink...
Lunch today with the co-workers was ok...my big boss didn't even show up, what an ass. My boss paid for my meal, so that was nice. The snobby stuck up co-worker that totally looks pregnant but isn't and hates my guts for no reason came, so that sucked. She didn't say a word to me, and I pretty much didn't talk the whole time. Again, just reinforces why I'm leaving that place! But I stuffed myself on free food, from Ruby Tuesdays, so that's always nice! Dinner tonight at a family friends' house, very fun. H had a GREAT time, she loves their house because it's so big and open. Got to see my friend that I only get to see once in a while because she lives 2 hours away now...she was in town for the day. We used to live next to them when I was little, and we've been friends with the family ever since. They're almost like another set of parents for me, and grandparents for H...they're crazy about her. We even call my friend "Aunt S." They gave her her very first birthday present tonight! Some clothes from BabyGap, so cute! And they cooked dinner, which is always awesome. Here's H looking out at my friend grilling the pork steaks...
H definately takes after me...they have this metal bunny figurine in their sun room area that she loves to pat on the head...tonight she went over to it, patted it on the head, went to the butt of the thing and poked around under it's tail, looking for Lord knows what. She's gonna be an odd little thing I think, just like me!! haha
And while we're on the subject of Miss H, I'll just note that tonight she stood all by herself a LOT, all throughout the night! Even standing up in the middle of the floor from a sitting position, all by herself! I was so proud. And once she took a couple lunging steps towards me! And when I was holding her hands walking her around, she was walking so well, so straight, not all round and off balance like she usually does...and she was barely even using my hands for support! Could she possibly finally be getting closer to walking??? Really? Gosh I hope so, because her little knees are getting so red from crawling! We tried so hard to get a pic, but of course we'd get the camera out and she'd get all excited and just want to boody dance and she'd fall down.
Alright, I guess I better try to get to sleep...I'll leave you with this thought...WHY do cat farts stink so bad?? And why do all cat farts smell the same?? Yes, I am aware I'm weird. But I had to bring it up...my cat sleeps by my head at night, and EVERY SINGLE NIGHT as we get into bed and lay down, she let's loose a nasty one. So I have to lay here in this cloud. How gross and un-ladylike! I don't fart in her face...UGH and she just did it again...

I'm not good at titles
Went to the bathroom just now...as I'm sitting on the toilet a nickel falls out of my pocket onto the pooey floor...EW...yes the poo is still there. GROSS. The cleaning people are obviously not cleaning very well. And speaking of bathrooms...I just had a great conversation with my 2 coworkers(the Chimp and another lady T whom I adore, she's so sweet and trustworthy) about how every time I need to go to the bathroom at work somebody hops in there before I can get up from my seat and then I think "damn, now I've gotta wait 10 minutes for the toilet seat to cool off" and told them I hate sitting down to a warm toilet seat because it reminds me somebody else's butt was just there...EWWW...they laughed at me. T knows I'm weird but I think I kind of shocked the Chimp(AKA the Spy). People really have no idea who I am, and then I let them in little by little and they're like WOW you are not the person we thought you were! Kind of like when T first started talking to me years ago...she used to avoid me because she thought I was a young snotty stuck up biatch but the more she talked to me the more she realized that was so far from the truth it's not even funny(and now she's really sad I'm leaving). People always think that about me until they actually take the time to talk to me...WHY?? Do I really look that bitchy? Hm...
So I had lunch with my sister today. LOVE eating with her. I woke her up at 11:50 and she hopped in the car to meet me at noon...how great is that? Beautiful day, actually almost hot. Wish I didn't have to work so I could be out enjoying the weather! My sister shared another story w/ me about how she was stalked twice last weekend at Walmart...this happens all the time to her! She was with cousin Bi-Racial Rachel both times. Once in the ice cream isle 3 black guys came up and said something like "3 for 2"....WEIRD...and my sister ran off with Bi-Racial Rachel on her heels, only to meet the guys in another isle because they were stalking them! Scary. Then another day it was the mexicans. Again. Like I've said before, my sister is half mexican...and she's been tanning a LOT now that she works at the gym so she seriously looks mexican or black or something w/ her black hair and tan skin. She makes me look like the whitest whitey ever and I've got an olive skin tone(because I'm Native American!)!! Anyway the mexicans stalked them in the parking lot AGAIN and evidently my sister took drastic measures to scare them off and grabbed my cousin's hand lovingly so they looked like lesbians. At the end of the story my sister made the comment that even though it seemed to work she new the mexicans were smarter than that, because "if I really were a lesbian no WAY would I be with B.R.R. I mean look at me and look at her!!" WOW I'm sorry I know that sounds shallow, but it's so true and I just couldn't help but burst out laughing. And then we had a lovely discussion about how if we were lesbians no way would we go for the ones that look like men, we'd go for something hot LOL...yes I am aware that we are weird. But it was a funny, mindless conversation...perfect lunchtime convo to take my mind off my crappy workday!! Good times...
(And yes I can talk about lesbians too because along w/ all the various races in our family, I also have an Aunt Jan and Uncle Cheryl...and just for the record, Jan is the girly one, Cheryl is the mannish one w/ hairy legs and short hair)
Also, D comes back in town today, YAY!!!! Missed him like crazy.

Smoker's Toes, Jesus is Lord, and why I love my family...and a little poop
Ok so I have to go to the bathroom(I'm telling you that General Foods International coffee crap is the best) and I was just about to get up from my desk to go, and another lady from my dept. snuck in and closed the door. This really sucks because A. I hate using the bathroom 2 ft. away from ours because it's in another dept. and it doesn't feel "comfortable" like our bathroom does and B. this means I have to wait a good 10 minutes to go because I hate the whole warm toilet seat thing, grosses me out thinking somebody else's butt was JUST sitting there EW!! Speaking of the bathroom, I don't know if I posted about the little surprise I found on the floor in there a week or 2 ago...the poop on the floor? Did I post about that? How sick...went to go to the bathroom and before I could sit down I saw a little terd on the floor!! Who on earth flings poop? I think I know who did it, so I will refer to her as the Chimp from now on. And the Chimp is the one that just stole the bathroom when I need to go. So anyway back to the poo on the floor...yea the smear from it is STILL THERE. Shows you just how often they clean the bathroom floors around here. Nice huh??
Ok so I ate lunch w/ my sister today. I was in a great mood, and I knew it would be fun. And it's so freaking nice out I wanted to enjoy the weather, not rush out and grab something and rush back. So we sat in the car and ate Taco Bell. As I'm finishing my taco she comments on how yellow her toenails are. "Have you just taken the polish off recently?" I ask her. No. No polish. "How freaking gross do they look, I look like I'm a smoker, I have freaking smoker's toes!!" I busted out laughing. What in the world smoker's toes are exactly, I don't know. This is one of the many reasons I love her.
And something amusing my little brother has done recently... ok first off I'll just tell you that my sister is very outspoken. She says what's on her mind. I'm the same way except I don't have this weird paranoia that everybody in the world hates me like she does(really I don't)...but if we pass a girl in the mall she'll be like "What are you looking at bitch" swearing she gave her a dirty look when I thought the girl looked pretty friendly. So anyway, like I said, she's outspoken, and my little brother is becoming more this way every year. During a trip to Walmart recently w/ my little brother my sister was aparently getting quite a few stares(she's a good looking girl, always getting looks) and she wasn't in the mood. After telling quite a few guys point blank to stop looking at her, my little brother(he's tiny ok, just picture this tiny little 6th grade white boy, he's about the smallest kid in his whole grade) walked up behind a married guy that had been staring at my sister for 5 minutes while waiting in line at the checkout, stood like a foot behind them and said "Man you need to quit looking at my sister you're MARRIED don't you know that's wrong??" Apparently the guy was pretty embarrassed and his wife was pretty pissed. Then as they're walking out to their car, my sister was being stalked by a group of Mexicans. So my little brother throws out his hands and yells "WHAT, beaners, WHAT????"--ever the little gangster, which is hilarious because he's such a little white boy....now before you take offense, you must know that my stepmom is Mexican, therefor my sister and little brother are also Mexican, so the whole beaner comment was totally not racist. There's no way we could be racist in our family, we represent all the races except oddly enough we have no Asian relatives that I know of.
Which brings me back to my sister, now that you know how outspoken she is. (Which is another reason I love her) Another thing I should tell you is that the family is divided by religion. My dad, stepmom, stepmom's parents and now apparently my little brother, are all Jehovah's Witnesses. My sister and I are not. So this creates some tension. My sister and I totally respect them, I mean they are free to believe whatever they want to believe. We don't celebrate holidays around them, we don't include them in any get-togethers etc. and D and I even got H's xmas pictures taken on a separate background just for them that only included snow, no holiday-ness whatsoever. But they DON'T respect our wishes to be Christian's...regular ol' God-lovin Christian's. We're "wrong" and should also be Jehovah's Witnesses. So every now and then we have to throw in a "Thank GOD" or some such comment. My dad was really bugging my sister the other day(he has a way of getting under your skin, but that's a whole other post) and my sister had had enough...so she stood up, yelled at the top of her lungs w/ her arms in the air, looking towards the heavens "PRAISE JESUS!!" in that huge black preacher accent. Which of course ticked my dad off. She went into her room and shut the door. My dad yelled "WHAT did you just say!?!?" expecting her not to answer. A moment goes by, and then behind the closed door "PRAISE JESUS!!" I cannot explain how funny this is. I guess you'd just have to be there.
This morning I was listing off to my mom the things I was going to tell Heather about H, what we're doing to take care of her etc.....and my mom gets all antsy and says "Did you tell her to water down her formula?!?!?!" I just looked at her..."Mom, I haven't even left the house yet, how could I have told her that??" (my mom stayed the night w/ me because I'm a paranoid freak that can't stay overnight by myself even though I'm 24) She just looked at me "Oh, yea, right, sorry *giggle* *giggle*" Gawd I love my family. :o)
By the way, I get to clean my carpets tonight, YAY!!! My mom is taking Miss H to her house for a while to play with Ping Pong kitty while I shampoo them. I love clean floors.

What a crappy week...but I guess it could be worse
Well I thought Miss H was doing better yesterday evening, then her temp spiked again and she got really fussy and threw up Tylenol, Ibuprofin, Pedialyte, everything again all night...I slept on the living room floor w/ her on a pallet and we both pretty much got no sleep, maybe like 2 hrs TOPS off and on if that even. Sleeping on the floor KILLS my back too, so that really sucked...plus I was getting the bubble guts also, luckily no bathroom runs just feeling icky. Had to call the cops on the damn dog in the house across the street...rotweiler, which isn't an issue except yea I'm scared of big dogs for 1 and 2 their bark is so loud and deep you can hear it through our whole house no joke. It was out there forever, like more than 5 hrs...this is no food, no water, just on a chain in the front yard barking at people because it's bored out of it's mind and wants to go inside. Finally at 12:30 am I called the police dispatch and they sent a couple cop cars and had them take it inside. I mean I know it's not that bad out but come on, don't have a dog if you're going to treat it like crap like that. Then some weird cat came howling at our back patio door, sounded like it was talking swear to God it was freaking creepy. Luckily Zoe came to the rescue and ran it off(my guard kitty) and then she slept on the couch all night keeping watch over us. So today Miss H was pretty pitiful. Crying, no more puking but she still has bad diarea, still has a fever...did get her to eat a bit off an on today...some of her organic apple sauce that she LOVES(just apples, water and Vit. C, very healthy) half of a banana, which is something else she loves. Some sweet potato puffs(which I think I have finally solved the mystery of the raisin looking things in her poop...must be the poofs oddly enough) a couple saltines this morning, some pedialyte off and on although not as much as yesterday afternoon and this late afternoon/evening we finally got her to drink about 9 oz. of watered down formula. She's still awfully cranky and pitiful, still hot and pantsless(and sockless if she has her way). She ate some chicken broth w/ white rice for dinner. Now she's napping again thank God, she was so cranky I didn't know what to do for her. My mom took off work this afternoon to come over and help...I was maybe going to go to work but not after the night/morning we had, no way. I ate the salad and turkey sandwich she brought me from Panera while she stood on the back patio w/ Miss H(she had crawled out the door herself earlier when I let the cat out on her leash, guess she wanted some fresh air...don't blame her)...then while my mom ate I pushed her around the house in her stroller while she babbled and looked generally pissed off although she was having a great time. My mom then took her on a walk while I tried to lay down and take a nap. TRIED, is the important word there. I am so tired. But I feel so crappy and I'm so overly tired and I'm so worried about Miss H, I just laid there, me and my freezing cold feet...and I can't sleep w/ cold feet either. But I was too tired to even get up and put socks on. So I laid there for about an hour, heard my mom come back with Miss H after not even a 10 minute walk...no crying, she must be asleep(yea she was). I FINALLY drift off to sleep after making my butt get out of bed for socks. Somebody from the school calls my phone...I don't answer(should have, turns out they were probably calling for an interview since I did just turn in my app. and resume the day before, DAMN) I fell back asleep and then not 30 minutes later Miss H is screeching and crying so loud. I waited about 2 minutes, because I know my mom is perfectly capable of handling her and I need my rest...but I couldn't stand it so I went to see what was wrong...just a diaper change. Jeez, all that fuss for a darn diaper change. So not much of a nap. I did take the opportunity to get my kitchen cleaned up though. Something in my sink was stinking, like a musty cloth or something(never did find out what it was but the smell is gone now?? I hadn't been able to pick it up in a couple days because of Miss H being sick) so anyway that felt good to get that all clean and organized. Looks great. Got the litter box scooped and the carpet in the master bath vacuumed, free of litter now. Then (sigh) mom had to leave for 2nd job at 5:30. I love my daughter, I baby her to pieces esp. when she's sick, but I'm getting tired so now when I hear the squirt of her pooping I think "oh man ANOTHER diaper"...I dread the screaming and fighting, I dread having to go wash my hands AGAIN...and she's crying, and I can't entertain her because not even she knows what she wants. D came home for dinner, I made breaded fish things and some kind of noodles...BLEGH but he liked it. He told me I'm the greatest wife ever. I told him I wish he'd help me out more LOL Anyway she finally fell asleep, and now I'm sitting here wishing I could go to sleep too...but I know she'll wake up soon, and D will be home from work soon too. I'm so out of it, from being so tired and just everything. I hope so bad that she gets some sleep tonight, for her sake and for mine.
In other news, this group, what are they called, NSM or something...National Socialist Movement...heck I don't remember exactly...some neo-nazi group...is coming here for a march Saturday from noon to 5 all around campus. WHY....this is stupid, WHY do they do this, seriously what's the freaking point??? To reek havoc in communites across the US??? Because they showed footage of what happened at the last one in some other state and it was a freaking riot. The city is taking action to try and make sure that doesn't happen here, and they're encouraging everybody to completely stay away from that area Saturday. But this NSM group or whatever they're called, they even put plain clothed members in the crowd to get the crown revved up a bit and creat havok...I don't see how on earth this can go on, how can people just let this happen when we KNOW they're coming? What, free speech or something?? This is just stupid. It scares me, nothing like this has happened here that I know of. And it makes me very angry, that we have to avoid a big part of our city to avoid this whole mess for most of a day. It's all really weird, and yea it's scary.
D leaves this Saturday for his first tournament of the semester. So not looking forward to that. He'll be gone until the next Friday morning!! I hate it when he's gone that long, and it makes it worse that I just CAN'T stay here by myself overnight(I'm ultra paranoid) and also he hates talking on the phone so we never have good convos while he's gone and even get in fights sometimes about the fact that he doesn't seem to want to talk to me while he's gone...which isn't true, he's just so tired by the time coach gives him a chance to call and well he hates talking on the phone regardless of who it's with. :o( I can't wait til the season's over, I miss him so much while he's gone.
Well I guess I'm missing work again tomorrow...I'm going to have at least 2 days of no pay on my next check, and they HATE no pay, it's like a sin. So hopefully I don't get in trouble. I'm ready to walk out of that place as it is, if they get onto me for this I really think I might just say screw you I'm outta here. The only issue is insurance til I find another job. Oh I hate being the one supporting us, that is the man's job!! I cannot wait until he's out of school.
Ok, so there's a bunch of negativity for you. Here are some positives, so I end this on a good note...
~Got my kitchen clean and organized somewhat, yay for me!
~Feeling a bit like supermom/superwife at the moment because through this whole sickness I haven't lost my cool, I've kept up with the pukey laundry, got her bed remade, I've had a shower myself(YES!), babes clean, hubby's happy, I'm not having a breakdown LOL...not too shabby if I do say so myself
~Miss H is still giving me kisses, as crappy as she feels she still shows momma some love...she makes a cute little lip smacking sound, then gives me a big open mouth kiss...how sweet
~The weather was awesome today and it felt so nice to get out and get some fresh air walking around the drive w/ H...made being tired and feeling cruddy not quite so bad there for a bit
~Dog has not been out barking tonight, yay!
~H is keeping formula down!
Well I guess that's about it for now...

Freaky Friday
OH MY GOD I just went into the bathroom in my dept. at work and you would not believe what was just chillin on the floor...ok as if it wasn't bad enough that one of my coworkers drips blood on the toilet seat once a month every month and doesn't wipe it off, now a different coworker apparently needs some major lessons on how to wipe their ass. There was a freaking turd laying on the floor under the TP holder!!!!!! How freaking disgusting can people be?!?! And the sad thing is, there's only about 4 people it could have been unless one of the ladies from the dept. next door snuck over and used our toilet which doesn't usually happen because they've got their own. I know I sure as hell didn't do it, and the 2 guys in the dept. are out since it's a women's bathroom. The blood dripper is out sick today, so that leaves 4 other women. I think I know who it was, and it just grosses me out to even think about it. BLEGH people are just gross.
Ok on to other non-gross topics...
Miss H is doing fine, no more temps, no more puking, eating just fine(except she still does not want much formula, what's up w/ that??), playing like normal. My mom is picking her up from the sitters as we speak to spend some time w/ her. She's thinking about watching her all night tonight, she said she hasn't done that for us in a long time. Thing is, I don't want her to do it for us, because honestly I don't mind having my own daughter all the time, for goodness sakes I love her and I really miss her when I'm not with her....I want her to do it because she wants to watch her. Which she does. But actually I don't really want her to keep her tonight...so I don't want her to be doing it to give me a break, because I don't want a break. I don't get to see her all day Friday because of work, and then when she watches her on a Friday night well I pretty much get to spend no time with her. Plus D doesn't even get off work til 9:00 on Fridays so it's not like we can go out to a movie. His friends want to come into town and have a Wii party and basically drink and play the Wii all night...um, yea, sorry but that doesn't sound like fun to me at all. Not that I'm not for hanging out with his friends, they're nice guys...but how about NO drinking, and they go home about 11:00 so I can go to bed at a decent time for once. Is that so bad? I'm just not into partying or anything remotely like it. I got all my partying out in highschool(and seriously I didn't even do much of it then either). But seriously I'm about to take the Wii away from D, he's been getting home late every night this week and then having to dart off to work, because he's been staying at his friends' house playing the stupid Wii forever. Do guys ever grow up, seriously? It's my hard earned money paying for that damn thing so I think I should be able to take it away if I feel the need to. And his whole promise about him making the house spotless if we get a Wii?? Yea freaking right. He's been the same ol' slob he always is. Seriously he's getting really close to being on my shit list lately.
I have ANOTHER freaking headache. It seems like a TON of people lately are sick with this head cold crap. Mine's still hanging on, no more sinus infection but I've still got the head cold crap that's making me not be able to hear and clogging up my sinuses and giving me bucket loads of drainage....NICE huh. I feel so sexy let me tell you...I'm so tired I've got dark circles under my eyes, I've got constant snot leakage, a red dried up crusty nose, this lovely hacking cough which sometimes produces phlegm...I've been too tired to do much w/ my hair so in the evening when I take it out of the pony tail it's sticking up straight all wild and crazy, and I haven't worn a single bit of makeup all week even though my face is all broke out. Damn I'm hot LOL...at least it's given me a week off from hubby hounding me for some action! LOL

Monday
Has anybody heard about how Britney Speare’s shaved her head? What the hell is wrong with this girl? She really is getting very strange. I feel so sorry for her kids. Has anybody ever seen a picture of her 2nd baby even? He’s not even going to know her, it doesn’t seem like she’s ever home. Who’s taking care of her kids, nannies, her family???? I saw pictures of her after she shaved her head, the girl looks messed up, drunk or high or something. The whole thing is just so weird. And when they asked her if this signaled a new beginning or something like that, she said “sort of”….what’s that supposed to mean? I think she should have stayed in rehab instead of checking out after what only one day or something…the girl obviously needs some major help.
Well I was up part of last night with stomach pains, so that sucked. But I was ok when I got up this morning…I plugged in my flat iron and washed my face and whatnot waiting for it to heat up. When I go to straighten my hair that has turned into an afro poof over night(ok maybe not that bad) it doesn’t do a thing to it. I felt the iron…freaking cold as ice. It died on me! It still turned on, it just didn’t heat up at all! Of all times for that to happen! So I had to come to work this morning with my hair up in this little bobbed pony tail w/ half of it hanging down still all funky from bed head LOL and nobody’s really said anything because I know it looks like crap. So I guess I’ll be going to Walmart tonight and spending even MORE money, to get a new flat iron…I feel like I’ve put us in the poor house lately spending so much! It’s just amazing all the crap we needed. I still have yet to look for a baby gate. At least Miss H will have clothes to wear this spring and summer!
It’s supposed to be in the 60’s today, WOOHOO!! I want all this snow to melt, I don’t want any of it left! I’m so stinking tired of snow! The bad thing is the Farmer’s Almanac says we’ll have one more big snow storm this year before the season’s over. So that sucks, but hopefully it’ll be wrong! We have electric heat but our utility bill is still eating us alive. The insulation in our place must not be very good because we have to keep the heat up to 74 while we’re home just so we don’t freeze! Luckily Miss H’s room is the warmest in the house, and if I turn it up higher than 74 she gets too hot at night even though we’re still freezing. I’m adding that to my list of “Things I Want When We Buy a House”…….good insulation!
Here’s the list so far, what I can remember of it anyway…I’ll add to it as I think of new things…I’ve got a long list after living in rentals my whole life! I know we’ll have to customize after we buy a place…I don’t need anything fancy, just not crappy LOL
Things I Want When We Buy a House
-Good insulation!
-A nice deep tub to soak in
-Some sort of nice linoleum in the bathrooms, maybe something that looks like stone tiles or something…I’m really sick of carpet in the bathroom too, and I’m also sick of the nasty peel and stick industrial looking linoleum tiles in these rentals, no matter how much I clean it it always looks dirty.
-That linoleum that looks like wood floors in the kitchen and dining room…NO CARPET!
-New stove, microwave, fridge(w/ an ice maker!)
-Darker counter tops in the kitchen, something that won’t stain…we have cream colored counters in the rental now (we did in the apt. too) and D is SO MESSY…he’s always spilling Kool-Aid powder all over the place and leaving it to stain
-More counter space in the kitchen
-A nice deep sink in the kitchen, with one of those sprayers…I had one in the apt. and I miss it so much now that our new place doesn’t have one!
-A ceiling light in the bedroom, lamps do NOT provide enough light for me!
-3 bedrooms, preferably w/ another little area for an office, and 2 bathrooms
-A walk in closet at least in the master bedroom if not in the other bedrooms as well
-Really good carpet that stands up to wear and tear really well…I’m sick of this cheap crap they put in rentals that doesn’t do well in high traffic and always feels so dirty no matter how much you shampoo it(I would kind of like hard wood I think but D would never go for it)
-One level, no stairs…unless it has a basement, that would be great(that way D could set up his little hunting/golf area downstairs to store all his crap and we’d also have room to store all the baby stuff etc….which leads me to the next item on my list)
-STORAGE out the whazoo
-2 car garage preferably, but at least 1 car garage…enough room to store our bikes(which are now at our parents’ houses because we don’t have the storage room, which makes it hard to go bike riding in the summer which we LOVE to do
-A bigger laundry area w/ places to hang clothes and a table to fold clothes on
-I would love to have a little mud room w/ a sink where D can come in from golf or hunting or whatever and peel of his dirties there instead of tracking mud in all over the carpet and leaving his hunting clothes in the middle of the dining room floor…the mud room would also be a great place to keep the litter box, which is now next to my washer right off the kitchen so there’s always cat litter tracked all over my kitchen floor no matter how much I vacuum it up!
-A fenced in back yard for Miss H to play in
-Big windows like the place we live in now has…I like natural lighting
Ok I can’t think of anything else right now. On to something else…
I need to start thinking of birthday gifts for Miss H and I can’t come up with anything…the only thing I can think of is one of those outdoor plastic climb/play sets by brands like Fisher Price and Little Tykes because she loves to climb, but they are so expensive! Evidently they don’t make the little bitty ones anymore like I’ve seen people have…all I can find is bigger ones that cost an arm and a leg. I thought about getting her a ball pit, just one of the little inflatable ones, because she LOVES the one the sitter has…but really I’d have to give it to her now because that’s something she really likes right now. It would have to be an early bday present. What on earth do you get 1 year old little girls? She’s got Weebleot, and the Weeble’s cottage…she’s got books…I just don’t know what else to even suggest to people to get her, or even what to get her from us! I need ideas…anybody have any???
Miss H has been wanting up on the couch lately. She’ll fuss and fuss trying to climb up there until we put her up there. She’ll sit there for a minute with a huge grin on her face and then she wants to stand up and bounce or jump or whatever else that’s rough and could possibly cause her to fall off and break her neck. She can be dainty and girly, but she is definitely a rough and tough little thing too. Yesterday she was pushing all the buttons on the VCR when she slipped and rammed her face right into the hard metal pull knob on entertainment unit door…I just froze, I thought she was going to scream. But she just sat up, turned around and looked at me, and I said “uh oh!” like I always do and she just calmly turned and started playing. It seems like as long as I act like it’s not that big of a deal, if she’s not really hurt, she doesn’t cry or anything and just goes on. I am definitely always paranoid that she’ll get hurt and if she was really hurt I would comfort her and take care of her in a heart beat, don’t get me wrong, but I’m a lot more laid back than the majority of the people I know around here that have kids. My sister in law is especially jumpy…I remember when my nephew W was a baby and learning to sit up on his own, I was on the floor with him and I had his Boppy set up around him so if he fell back he’d fall on it. I have plenty of experience with babies, I have a niece and 5 nephews and my little brother was born when I was 12. I knew what I was doing with W. I wasn’t going to let him get hurt. Well he fell back, and I let him, because he needed to learn cause and effect…you lean back, you fall back…he had to learn his balance! Well my sister in law gasped really loud, jumped up as soon as he fell onto the Boppy, and grabbed him. She sheltered that boy so much, he is going to be 2 next month but he has no personality whatsoever and he is very behind in development (I mean the boy hasn’t really changed a bit from age 1 to age 2 except he can run now(quite clumsily) and say a few more words than before, all pronounced wrong which they don’t correct). And when he falls or knocks into something he screams this blood curdling scream…I can’t even be around him, I literally have to leave the room it is that loud…I’m not exaggerating. And he’s always fine, he’s never really hurt. She’s just made him think that every time he barely falls he’s going to die or something. They must think I’m a horrible parent when Miss H tries to climb on top of the Fisher Price barn and knocks in over, falling on top of it herself and I just say “uh oh, get back up and dust yourself off!” And she does, and she’s perfectly fine…
Well I was up part of last night with stomach pains, so that sucked. But I was ok when I got up this morning…I plugged in my flat iron and washed my face and whatnot waiting for it to heat up. Came across a place in the middle of nowhere with a big black horse and a cherry tree...
That song has been running through my head all stinking day!!!
So today is going ok. I'm avoiding any bitchings by the wicked witch of the west. The day's half over. My friend, the one I mentioned in the last post, messaged me this morning and said they haven't had any decent applicants for that position so far, and that I should go ahead and send in my resume soon. So that's exciting. I'm not getting my hopes up, but hey it's better news than it could be. If they do offer me the job I'm hoping they'll wait til mid February for me to start, so I can get profit sharing at my current job and then give my notice. I've been told that if I give my notice even a few days before profit sharing may be given out, that they will either tell me to go ahead and go or they'll wait til after I'm gone to give out profit sharing. Which is bullshit, because I worked here all last year just like everybody else, I put in my time, and I deserve that money for the work I did last year! So if they want me sooner than that, God I would be so stupid to tell them sorry that won't work, just so I can get profit sharing...pass up a great opportunity to have a new job and be HAPPY, just for a couple thousand $??? That's a dilemma...it wouldn't be if I didn't have to worry about money, but we are SO strapped for cash it's rediculous. I was counting on that money. Anyway, I'm going to get started on my resume tonight and hopefully get that sent really soon.
So my husband snored all night last night...WOW exciting I know. But I just have to bitch about this. He can't breathe through his nose hardly at ALL, so when he sleeps he breathes REALLY LOUD through his mouth, and it wakes me up and keeps me up and damnit I am TIRED. And last night it was so loud it woke our daughter up(her crib is in our bedroom)...so here we are, my husband sleeping like a log(except for me poking him every 2 minutes to make him quit snoring) and my daughter and I laying awake exhausted in our beds listening to him. He got so pissed after I poked him so many times, I believe he muttered that if I did it one more time he would punch me. Which of course he never would, so this made me laugh, and 30 seconds later I poked him for snoring too loudly again. He refused to go sleep on the couch. I didn't want to leave our daughter in there to suffer alone, and I didn't want to get her out of her crib and wake her up even more, so I laid there and suffered with her. And when I brought up the subject to my husband this morning and suggested we move her crib into her own bedroom and put a twin bed in there for me to crawl into on the nights he gets particularly bad(like last night) he said absolutely not. He thinks it would be horrible for us to sleep in separate beds on occassion, even though I am so dead tired that I almost can't bear it anymore. I drink caffiene all day to stay awake, which is bad for my heart issues that I have, and then I do housework and take care of my daughter all night while he's at work...then he gets home at 10 and sexually harrasses me until I either give in or go to bed, and then I can't even sleep because he is out like a light snoring heavily in my face. But I'm seriously thinking about just doing it anyway...which brings up another dilemma...
moving my daughter to her own bedroom. I have to be honest, she's not in there for her sake, she's in there for mine. For one, I cannot sleep unless I am in the same room with her. I know that I would eventually get over this and get used to it(God let's hope anyway) but it would take some time. We used to have her crib in her own room at the old apartment, and when she switched to her crib from her bassinet I tried it a couple nights, and both nights I stayed wide awake, laying there in bed holding the baby monitor with volume on high to my ear. "Oh God, she's not breathing, she quit breathing...or maybe she didn't quit breathing, maybe somebody snuck in and STOLE HER!! She's gone, I know she's gone, oh God somebody stole my baby!!"......nevermind the fact that we were in a second story apartment, and surely if I can hear something so quiet as my baby breathing over the monitor I would have heard somebody breaking in and stealing her...I'm not crazy, just WAY OVERLY paranoid. I get it from my dad. So anyway, then she got sick and had to go into the hospital, and she slept just fine in the little hospital crib, and I slept just fine in the hospital bed, and when we got home two days later I ordered my husband to move the crib to our bedroom, and we've both slept great ever since...well except for the damn snoring. I'm sure she'd be fine in her own bedroom, and honestly I am scared that if we don't switch her now while she doesn't know the difference she will be stuck in our room forever, and I can't have that because when the next baby comes it will need to be in our room for a while. The second problem with moving her into her own room is also a problem with me...when she does cry on occassion at night, I can just sit up and see what's wrong without even having to get out of bed...and if I need to get up and find her pacifier for her and pop it in her mouth, it takes all of 10 seconds and then I can walk over and plop right back into bed. I'm going to have to walk all the way to the other room down the hall if I move her into her own bedroom...and then I know once I get to her room she'll stop crying and I will have gotten up and walked all that way for nothing...but then if I don't get up she'll cry and cry and wake herself up to where she can't go back to sleep. ???? And skipping back to the twin bed in her room thing for a minute...I don't want to get so used to sleeping in there that I don't ever sleep in my own bed with my husband anymore either. The only reason for this 2nd bed would be so I could get some sleep...and also that kind of defeats the purpose of moving her crib into her own room so she'll get used to sleeping by herself...sigh...I guess I should just move her and at least let her get some sleep. Definately something to do over a weekend though because I have a feeling when she wakes up in a weird room she's going to freak for a few nights.
My cat stole my daughter's chicken nugget sometime in the middle of the night last night. It was my toy as a little girl, and I've now passed it on to my daughter. It stays in the fridge of her little toy kitchen in the dining room. It's just the nugget, and he has little eyes...we lost the box long ago. And this morning he was laying next to the front door, just staring up at the ceiling...my cat's been nutty lately. I thought I heard her banging something around last night. But why the nugget I wonder?? She's so weird.
Fetish Party???
Over my lunch break today I was playing catch up on one of the blogs I read...the lady is from Canada(it seems that lately everyone online is from Canada...I must visit there someday, from what I've heard it's a great place to live) and she mentioned in one of her posts going to a "fetish party"...I have never heard of this. Evidently it's something that's fairly common in Canada?? I have heard of little ordering parties like Partylite or Home Interiors except they sell sex toys instead...but a fetish party?? I am WAYYYYYYYY to conservative to ever even think about going to one of these, hell I wouldn't even go to a sex toy ordering party...but I am intrigued. Somehow I can't quite grasp that this is something common to do in Canada...
Sorry if this post sounds choppy, I'm rushed...ok my lunch breaks over, back to work...
