Moving

I'm going to look at a place today at 10:30. It's a 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bath, 1 car garage, 1562 sqft and only $60 more than what we're paying now. Unfortunately that doesn't include cable like our rent does now...so basically we'll be paying 100$ more a month than we are now. It would be worth it to have a garage and all that extra space (where we live now is only almost 1200 sqft). Apparently a lot of people want one of these places. They started a waiting list March 1. My friend was going to move into one a few years ago and had to wait almost 4 months to get one! A week before they were supposed to move in they found a house in the school district their daughter wanted to go to school in. Hopefully it's not too late...if we put our names on the list now hopefully one will be available by the time our lease is up in July. There are three things I'm nervous about though. One, that all the bedrooms are upstairs. I'm not used to having stairs. With my knees and hips, I'm afraid they'd get old REALLY quick. And I'm clumsy. I fall down/up stairs often. So, not sure if that's a good idea. Also, some of them have tiny backyards (all fenced in). We need room to put a pool out for Hailey in the summer. Our town is really hilly. This neighborhood is built in a hilly area with quite a few trees. Where we're at now is flat and treeless, which we've gotten used to. I'd only want a unit that has a flat back yard of a decent size for Hailey to play in. The last thing I'm worried about is how some of the garages come right up to the road/driveway. They're set up like where we live now is set up. A driveway goes off the main road. The driveway goes in a circle and all the units are built around that. So at these new places, some of the garages go right up to that driveway. So you don't have an actual driveway...you either have to park in the garage or in the extra spaces in the middle of the circle. I would hate that! I wanted to use the garage mostly for storage. We have two cars. We need that driveway space. So I'm really excited to go see them, but nervous at the same time. It doesn't help the matter any that Dan is at home in bed sick as a dog with the flu (chills, aches, high fever, no energy) and my sister won't go with me. So I'm all on my own to ask all the questions, judge whether or not the places would work for us etc. It's just stressful!

I couldn't imagine going to look at something major like that without Zack. I would be just as nervous. I am sure that you will do fine. Also if you miss any questions, just call them back and ask. Good Luck!
